It’s about attitude, really

The magical catalpa tree across the road is smothered with clusters of white flowers, each with a speckled mauve and yellow throat. Ecstacy.

The housemate had a great birthday weekend. I made the Mexican dishes she wanted together witha successful gazpacho and friends came around, she was given flowers and chocolates and cards, all her friends called. Togetherness is core to happiness. To love and know ourselves beloved on this earth, as the writer Raymond Carver noted.

Thought about the things I am not grateful for in this month of Gratitude and realised they are all painful but necessary growth opportunities. Sigh.

Here is a Jonathan, aged three, conducting the 4th movement of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. Music is open to all who are open to hear and  enjoy it. And yes, I can now link to videos and make the most of it.
