Return to Cyberland

June 9, 2009

Back online with a new cheap and nasty computer that takes me back to 1994 or thereabouts.

My screen suddenly gave a little gasp and went pitch-black yesterday morning. The little gasp might have been me. Sat and haggled with another IT whizkid who helps farmers market their cows online. He has a large trinket (body jewellery) inserted in his tongue so the haggling was very glotteral.

It is so strange being cut off from the Internet and cyber sobriety. I sat and read Daniel Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe all of last night. Hugely relieved to be back again. I can’t find my backspace key and have lost all my bookmarks and this set-up is odd and slow. But never mind. Here I am sober and grateful and about to start searching for peeps.  How Third World I am.

Let me try and publish. My forums have all vanished into thin air.  Ah well, at least there is solid terra firma beneath my feet and I know you are all still out there somewhere.
